Anti-Doping Educators Attend The Africa Zone VI RADO

Two Anti-Doping educators,Ms Basadi Akoonyatse and Mr Mpho Kebitsang  are currently in South Africa to attend the Africa Zone VI RADO to attend the education training in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The objectives of the UNESCO-funded Workshop are to do the following;

  1. Provide trainees with basic and relevant anti-doping information.
  2. Provide trainees with methodological and content –related information to utilize in developing and managing relevant programs
  3. Provide assistance to Member States in the drive towards compliance with the revised World Anti-Doping Code (2015) and the UNESCO International Convention Against Doping in Sport through implementation of a vibrant education program.
  4. Train EOs on the use of the WADA Play True Quiz, ALPHA Program and other WADA initiatives in order to create an interactive environment where sharing of information can take place.

The two left on Monday morning and are expected to return on Thursday 22nd October to continue with their mandate of educating Batswana on Anti-Doping issues.
